I love this cleaner and have been using it for about 2 years. The only problem with this product is that you removed "synthetic safe" from the can recently. Last evening (9-27-11) I ask the my local gun shop if this (the picture above representing the can on the shelf) was synthetic safe. He did not know and I did not buy because I was not going to find out the hard way. Bad move thinking most people will just know your upc codes or research like I did. The cleaner gets a 6 out of 5 because it is excellent. Your new marketing gets a zero (0) for loss of future sales for your company. If a legal issue concerning removal of "Synthtic Safe" from the can then go with "Synthetic Formula", etc.

Since you removed the nonflammable version from the market, I either cannot clean my guns in the garage or I have to find a new brand to use.

I HAVE BEEN USING THE BIRCHWOOD CASEY SYNTHETIC SAFE FORMULA SINCE IT WAS INTRODUCED IN 2005. I THINK IT IS THE VERY BEST PRODUCT THAT BIRCHWOOD CASEY PRODUCES. I USE THE SYNTHETIC SAFE FORMULA ON MY GLOCK PISTOLS AS A RINSING AGENT. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH IT'S PREFORMANCE & I WILL BE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH AN AWESOME PRODUCT. Gun Scrubber Synthetic Safe is an excellent cleaner for the polymer frame of my HK USP. After spraying the frame, I barely even have to use a nylon brush and there is almost nothing to wipe up afterwards. This cleaner is fast and effective and does not harm my polymer frame. I'm impressed.

To test this product I took apart my Sig 9mm and cleaned it very well using the old tried and true method. Then, I put it back together and went over it again with Gun Scrubber. The amount of crud that came out of my "clean" gun was amazing! I then add a quick shot of Rem oil and am ready to go! Use it in a well ventilated area.

It looks horrible, the only thing that remains is exposed metal. Customer service is horrible. They treated me as if this were somehow my fault, and never even offered an apology.
