Aluminum Black Metal Finish

The room temperature chemical used by gunsmiths and industry to blacken aluminum parts. Restores scratched and marred areas quickly. Fast-acting liquid is easy to apply with no dimensional change. Color will vary from deep gray to black depending on alloy. Aluminum Black Metal Finish is also excellent for blackening name plates, plaques, trophies and other engraved items.

i just finished cleaning my 9mm ,,the aluminum part of the gun needed to be touched up and i used the cleaner & degreaser first to clean the part i wanted to redo ,,then followed the directions to the letter ,no hurry here,,i think the tech trick was to wash the aluminum after you put it on ,and then clean and rinse between applications,,worked for me,,now i have a nice clean gun and it looks better,,so you guys out there ,,read the directions before so you can understand what the hell your doing,,just my opinion, ,lol

i used it on my xd Springfield stainless and it worked great nothing out there will touch my stainless xd and this stuff blacked it up you have to apply a few even nice coats and refinish and all kids of stuff but it is worth it. it got my xd back to brand new from my fuck up otherwise i would have sent it to be redone free but works on aluminum amazingly and did my whole xd which is not aluminum with less that a quarter of a bottle doesn't wipe off unless your stupid and just pull the gun from your cleaning table and go to work if you have any type of oil finger or gun oil, anything it will make the oxide not work the way it should go to chemistry class and learn how oils affect paint and another finish its not good if done "correctly" you will only need rust remover 0000 steel wool and the alumi black then again 0000 steel wool to even out any imperfections

Used to fill engraving in a AR15 lower and it worked just fine. I believe that if you take the proper steps to make sure the aluminum is clean and free of corrosion.

Hello. I am from Russia. I bought myself this product to make realistic-looking airsoft gun to my M249 Para. It means very much, and I recommend it. easy to apply, the result is very good. And be sure to follow the manual.

The product worked great for me. First coat was pitiful looking, but after multiple coats and following the directions it turned out great. I was very pleasantly surprised by the results

I use this on my AR15s. Works great on aluminum and parkarized parts. Not made for non-aluminum so make sure you pick up the product meant for your metal. Been using this for years and have seen many other AR builders use it with much success.

tried it on my beretta m-9. followed directions on the bottle. rubs completely off with a clean cloth leaving a nice pretty bare metal shine. WHAT THE HELL?

I would strongly advise you not to purchase this product. Aluminum Black Does turn black when it comes in contact with aluminum alloy. The aluminum alloy does not turn black and the aluminum Black wipes off the alloy after the recomended curing period leaving a nice bare metal shine the same as before you started. I am very disappointed. I am looking now for a different product.

I´m from Brazil and i buy this crap. I think i did all the steps like 10 times.. and i always end up worse than i started.. dont recomend buy this shit!

For most aluminium, it is just sticky for while, while you wipe it with the cloth, the color faded away, the stronger you wipe with the cloth, the color disappear then back to aluminium. I stronger not recommended to use this for aluminium alloy ...it may work on specific aluminum but not for all type aluminum. Birchwood company should verify what type of aluminium could be bluing or blacking with this chemical.

Success is sometimes defined as 90% preparation and 10% perspiration. Surface prep is the key, I used BCs gun scubber to clean the areas I want to touch up on a GSG 1911 .22lr slide. The product was recommended by American Tactical Importers, the US distributor for GSG firearms. It worked perfectly. I am extremely please with the outcome.
